About Helena
Hello! My name is Helena and I have just completed my second year at university in the north of England, studying BA English Literature and French. I am very passionate about English and French language, literature and culture, and would love to pass on my enthusiasm and knowledge to students. I have experience in teaching from several work placements in schools and have been described as patient, kind and enthusiastic when teaching. I also teach salsa classes at my university so have plenty of experience working both practically and academically with a broad range of students.

I can teach from primary up to A Level (or equivalent) and adults who would like to improve spoken or written English. I will tailor my classes to your needs and the aspects of language and literature you would most like to focus on. This could include learning a different aspect of grammar each week, such as the past tense; learning vocabulary topics for non native English speakers; improving sentence structure and writing style for students who would like to boost their grades. Alternatively, I can discuss more specific essay style and topics with you, and how to approach and analyse certain texts.
