About Amy

I am a twenty three year old with a BA in English from the University of Exeter. I have multiple years of tutoring experience and have a TESOL qualification for teaching English as an additional language. I spent most of 2023 teaching English in Colombia and am now looking for remote tutoring!

About the lesson

My teaching method is one which is thoroughly adaptable to each of my students, as I believe everyone learns in different ways and I will tailor my lessons to individual students. Lessons will be thoroughly dependent on areas chosen by the student/parent, whether that be help with comprehension, reading, essay writing skills, specific texts or exam preparation. I believe the most successful way of teaching is one which occurs in a positive learning environment, where the student feels comfortable to ask questions and the greatest development can be facilitated. I hope that my 10 A*s at GCSE and A*AB at A level reflects my level of dedication to academics, a dedication that will be transferred in effort and time to all of my students. I am more than happy to discuss revision and time management techniques for exams if needed. I have an English degree from the university of Exeter and teaching experience with a Trinity certified TESOL so I welcome EAL learners especially. Thank you for considering my application!
