About Ursula
I have a BA and MA in English literature from the University of Bristol. I received a distinction in my Master's and achieved the highest mark in my year for my undergraduate dissertation. I have taught at secondary schools and taught workshops for undergraduates and postgraduates. I offer one-to-one support, with lessons tailored to needs of the individual student. I am a passionate teacher who has taught a variety of subjects, including music, poetry, and prose, for seven years. My teaching methods include close reading and attention to general concepts such as theme and context. I tailor my lessons to the individual needs of my students, one-to-one. While I am experienced in teaching in undergraduate seminar contexts, I am happy to adjust to the appropriate learning stage and have taught at secondary school level. I aim to encourage and foster enjoyment in literary texts, as well as challenge my students, to create a useful and fun learning environment.
