About Sophie
I am a qualified teacher who has taught in primary schools for over 16 years. Prior to that, I taught EFL in France and I have supported foreign language speakers in learning English for many years. I have a CELTA certificate and a degree in English Studies and I am well-read and a lover of the English language in all its intricacies and irregularities!

I provide 1:1 or group EFL lessons that are fun, engaging and well-pitched for all abilities. Lessons are carefully resourced and planned and show clear progression of skills and knowledge. I try to structure lessons to suit the interests and specifics of each student and tailor my lessons carefully to their needs and where the gaps are in their knowledge and confidence. Lessons are not only a way to improve knowledge and skills but also a love and confidence in speaking and understanding the English language.
