About Georgia
I am a postgraduate student, a writer and a tutor based in Oxford.
I have been working as a full-time private tutor for one year, teaching a range of students from primary school age to A-Level.
I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school, running literacy interventions and creative writing groups as well as working one-to-one with SEN pupils.
I hold a First Class degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Warwick (2016). I was taught by writers of an exceptional calibre, including Professor Sarah Moss and Professor Maureen Freely.
Alongside tutoring, I am studying for an MA in Creative Writing at Royal Holloway, University of London. I I received the Bradley de Glehn award for high-achieving applicants to this course.

My approach as a tutor is to balance academic rigour with creativity and enjoyment. I am committed to helping students grow into confident, independent learners who are able to make links and be curious. I am mindful that every student is an individual with their own particular strengths and areas of challenge, and I take great pleasure in getting to know what works for them. I work with and for the individual, tailoring my lessons to meet their needs.
