About Sam
I have experience teaching multiple students at once in multiple courses on the college level as well as high school in biology, chemistry, advanced physics, circuits and electronics, as well as calculus 1,2, and 3.
I will give good practice problems when provided a syllabus as well as any other thing needed if asked, such as tangents how the mechanisms work as well as how it is useful in a job or day to day life.
providing tools such as study tools (Pomodoro, Feynman, etc).
I'm here to work with you at your pace not mine and the way you learn.
I also understand how frustrating it can be learning these new things. In this class I hope to help you as a student not just get a good grade but understand how things work which usually get you a better grade any way. but I'm not going to do your home work for you so don't be cheeky.
About the lesson

levels :
Secondary School
Higher Education
- English
All languages in which the lesson is available :
English
teaching method:
mainly give past exam questions with the exam that is being studied example SAT prep. if nothing will find or make exam questions. mainly i teach through asking questions about it to navigate the student through a difficult question. style is quite chill but the questions we do will still be quite difficult.
Lesson plan:
lesson plan mainly involves first doing some warm up questions, previous lesson at the end home work is to prep questions for me about the course or about were we were last left off. then i will add a firing round see if there is anything that they might be stuck in they don't realize. after which i will then talk to them and give recommendations of improvement methods of study (methods of study only in first to second session) including Feynman technique, or Pomodoro etc. during this if they have any problems to work on we will work on those first. if there is any more time left i have set up some questions based on the syllabus provided to me or ones i have found similar to previous sessions that they could study ( i will ask for their syllabus from the student). i will not just do the home work for the student (don't be cheeky).
what sets me apart:
i have experience with working with university students and a university tutor at my college
i will provide questions and allow them to think about it wont just provide worked solutions
i will provide practice papers
since i am a uni student its still fresh in the sense i know the struggle of learning math physics calculus and how annoying it is at first to not be good at something that you want to be good in.
lessons for:
lessons are mainly for middle high school (such as AP or honors), but also lower division college class i have completed such as calculus and lower division physics

Sam is knowledgeable, experienced and personable. He will be a great resource for student.
I have no and Sam since he was 10 years old, as a family friend.
Sam has always been very passionate about learning and teaching, I believe Sam’s patience makes him an exceptional tutor.
Over the many years I’ve known Sam I have traveled with him and have found that he has a broad interest in many things and loves the detail.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Sam for Superprof as I believe his work ethic and passion for knowledge his second to none.Sam is really super! He explains the lessons well and is very easy to discuss with. He made it so much easier for me to figure out topics in math that otherwise confused me to no end.
I would describe him as firm but empathetic, kind-hearted, and a good listener, serious about school and doing well. He is himself working towards completing a biomedical engineering degree. He enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge with others. If you are looking for help with STEM subjects or just how to study better, Sam would be the perfect fit for you.
I am pleased to recommend my son as a tutor in the sciences and mathematics. He is currently a third-year student with a GPA of 3.8 out of 4, reflecting consistent academic excellence and a strong grasp of complex concepts. Beyond grades, he is exceptionally patient, knowledgeable, and approachable, qualities that are essential for effective tutoring. He has a natural ability to explain difficult material clearly and adapt his approach to the needs of each student. I am confident that his dedication, friendliness, and strong academic foundation make him an excellent choice for students seeking support in the sciences and math.
