About Mihir
I am a student at the University of Toronto, studying Engineering. I have always been good at math and thinking about problems analytically. Being a student myself, I realize I can understand the thought process behind solving a problem, especially with mathematics which sets me apart as a tutor. I firmly believe I can acknowledge my mentees more comprehensively and make mathematics more interesting for them.
I consider myself a tutor with whom students can express themselves freely, and can maintain a rapport with, to have enhanced interpersonal relationships with them.
With that said, I would love for the students to be on this learning journey.

My teaching methodology typically includes going over the topics in detail, and engaging them in problem-solving, while being patient and humble to them as much as possible. I encourage them to think about a problem in multi-faceted ways. Passing on the skills I learned as a student and an avid learner.
A typical lesson plan would be the standard blackboard teaching style. I will be taking the lessons online. If possible, I would also make students do different examples, which helps them visualize the concepts effectively.
The lessons are for senior secondary students, for ages below 18 or classes (or grades, whatever) 9-12, including all parts of math such as calculus, linear algebra, geometry, number theory, arithmetical math, probability, and many more. Students above 18 are also allowed to join, who either fall under this category or with an introductory class of me going over their interests and content once and seeing where I stand with them on that. How helpful I am to the student in terms of learning inhibition. I can also teach first-year engineering math if anyone is interested in that.
