My Approach to Tutoring As a tutor, I aim to make learning enjoyable, understandable, and tailored to each student’s needs. I teach Math, Science, History, and Geography at the lower secondary level, focusing on building strong foundations and boosting confidence in each subject. Teaching Methodology I use a student-centered approach, adapting my methods to suit different learning styles. For Math and Science, I focus on clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and plenty of practice. For History and Geography, I bring lessons to life through storytelling, visuals, real-world examples, and interactive activities. I encourage students to ask questions and actively participate in lessons, making sure they understand each topic before moving on. I also use quizzes, summaries, and revision techniques to help with memory and exam preparation. Lesson Duration Most of my lessons are 60 minutes long, which gives enough time to cover topics thoroughly while keeping students engaged. However, I can adjust the length depending on what suits the student best. Qualifications and Experience I have 1 year of teaching experience, working with lower secondary students. During this time, I’ve learned how to explain complex ideas in simple ways, keep students motivated, and adapt to different learning paces. I am also an engineering graduate. Who My Lessons Are For My lessons are ideal for lower secondary students (ages 11–17) who want to improve their understanding in Math, Science, History, or Geography—whether they need help catching up, preparing for exams, or just want to feel more confident in class.
