About Alan
I have an Electronics Engineering degree (Bachelor of Engineering) from the University of Technology in Sydney and a Doctor of Science Education degree from Curtin Unversity in WA. I also have Graduate Diplomas in Education for High School and Technical Colleges as well as a Graduate Certicate in Physics.
I have been a salesman, electronics technician, flight simulator engineer, technical support manager, high school teacher and TAFE lecturer. In retirement I am involved in a number of different projects but feel that as a tutor working from home I can pass on some of my knowledge to help students achieve academic success.

I believe that mathematics can be taught more effectively by allowing students more freedom to demonstate their intuitive skills, rather than trying to give them mandatory 'rules' to follow. It can be a 'fun' subject and should be taught hand-in hand with Physics - the two discipines with which Einstein was familar.
