About Mclean
Hello, I'm Elisabeth McLean.
I am an experienced engineering leader with more than 20 years of professional experience across aerospace, marine, manufacturing and technology sectors. Throughout my career I have worked on projects ranging from luxury yachts and America's Cup racing technology to large-scale engineering programmes and national engineering teams.
I understand that every student learns differently. Whether you are studying for GCSEs, A-levels, an engineering degree, or preparing for a graduate role, I will tailor lessons to your individual goals and learning style. My aim is not only to help you achieve better results, but also to build your confidence and understanding.
Students can expect a professional, supportive and structured approach. I am patient, approachable and committed to helping learners succeed. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into clear, practical explanations and using real industry examples to bring subjects to life.

My name is Elisabeth McLean, and I have over 20 years of engineering and leadership experience across aerospace, marine, manufacturing and technology industries. I have held senior engineering leadership roles, including Engineering Director and UK Delivery Director, leading teams of more than 50 engineers and delivering complex technical projects.
My teaching approach focuses on building understanding and confidence rather than simply memorising answers. I tailor every lesson to the student's needs, whether they are preparing for exams, completing university coursework, working on a final-year project, or seeking support with professional development. I use real-world engineering examples to bring technical concepts to life and help students understand how theory is applied in industry.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although longer sessions can be arranged for project work, coursework support or interview preparation. I teach online and can support students across the UK.
