About Angus
Hi,
My name is Angus.
I am a First Year Mechanical Engineering Student, who has also done 1 year in Bachelor of Arts at the University of Adelaide. English literacy and reading skills are key to success in both domestic and international careers. Furthermore, difficulties in these areas can lead to much unneeded difficulty in other areas of life, including other areas of study. This is why I find it so important and rewarding to help those who wish to improve their English skills. Time and time again I see the incredible improvements in all facets of a person's academic and personal life that can result from improved English skills.

I always start by gaining a clear understanding of my student's unique challenges and goals, so as to provide a learning program that is accurately structured for the best possible learning outcomes.
I have been tutoring for 1 year, and have been delighted to see the improvements of my students over this period.
I structure lessons based on the unique needs of the student, but typically for younger students (age 14 and below) I favor a lesson duration of 1 hour, and for older students (15 and over) I use a combination of 1- and 2-hour lessons depending on the learning context.
I feel that these durations are consistent with the attention span of people in these age groups and help to prevent any loss of interest or motivation that can otherwise occur.
