About Celia
Hello! My name is Celia, I am 21 years old and in my second year at University College London (UCL) reading Philosophy. I am very friendly and empathetic, and have prior experience in private tutoring for GCSE students. I am very enthusiastic about my studies and particularly enjoyed the subjects I specialised in during my A-Levels (English Literature (A*), Philosophy, Ethics and Religion (A*), and Latin (A*)). I take my studies seriously but love to make it a fun experience for myself and others (if I found it boring I'd never get anything done!). Overall, I have always found interactive and engaging tutoring the most rewarding. I believe that listening to students' own concerns and thought processes is paramount to creating a strong, student-focused lesson style, and it helps me to incorporate the student's own methods of learning into my teaching style. I am an honest and supportive person who understands the struggles of working towards deadlines and GCSE/A-Level exams - since it wasn't too long ago that I sat them myself! I can also offer experienced advice on writing Personal Statements, and decision making for University.
