About Poppy
I am a part-time university student, part-time bookseller who is fiercely passionate about literacy, literature and the right of all people to access a good education. I truly believe that books can be for everyone, that writing with clarity and precision is an invaluable life skill, and that building a positive relationship with literature, poetry and drama can have a profound effect on our lives and wellbeing. Simply put, I want to help young people achieve their best in the subject that I love.

I create a warm, supportive learning environment and offer a student-centred approach, meeting every student at the level they're at and working collaboratively to help them grow in skill and confidence.
I specialise in literature and poetry but am more than happy to help students tackle whatever issues they may be facing from spelling and grammar to homework help to essay writing.
I offer English language and literature tutoring for KS3 and GCSE level and English literature tutoring at A Level.
Lessons last 1 hour and are available in-person or online, depending on a student's location and preferred schedule.
