About Mafa
My grade 12 English teacher, Mr. Mokwana, was a huge inspiration to me. He is one of the primary reasons that I developed such a love for literature, and absolutely one of the major reasons that I decided to pursue teaching as a career. His teaching style was humorous and personable, while still incredibly passionate about the subject. I hope that I can create a classroom that encourages my students to have fun while learning the same way that he was able to.

In my classroom I encourage discussion because good discussion are a powerful tool for encouraging student learning and will enable the class to address important topics from multiple perspectives.
As a teacher I take students through structured or informal exercises and I use writing to facilitate active acting.
I also encourage service learning that actively involves students in a wide range of experiences, which often benefit them and the community
