About Sri Durga
I love teaching young people because, frankly, they keep me young. I am not shy about how selfish I am about this.
Mainly, however, I love sharing my love of reading and how that innocent act opens up an entirely different world to us in those few pages.
The complexities and intricacies of language and writing being peeled off, like an onion layer, to reveal the writer's intent, historical and cultural positioning, societal expectations and place in the world are deeply satisfying to me, as I hope it would be for you too!

I love using technology in my lessons, often pegging my lessons using the Understanding by Design methodology. A one hour lesson, I find, is the best for creating focus and retention.
I have been tutoring since I was a University student. That naturally led to me having a long career in teaching later on. As someone who has migrated to Australia, I find that I offer new ways of approaching texts in the classroom (reading / perspective lens) as well.
