About Beverly
I am an experienced educator for the past 25 years, starting with my two youngest children whom I home schooled from elementary through their high school years. That experience led to an opportunity to broaden my student base to groups of elite athletes who needed a non-traditional learning program to allow them to train in order to achieve their athletic goals but not compromise their educational needs. As the years have passed, I have broaden that base to include students who are better served with a smaller learning environment and students from traditional learning programs who need individual tutoring. My areas of specialty are math and English/Language Arts.
Prior to working in the field of education, my background was in sales and marketing. Today I hold a BAES, Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies and am currently working on a Master of Education, Instructional Design.

As a tutor, I approach learning from the heart. I believe that students should come to love what they are learning, whether it be in math or English/Language Arts. The methods I use to teach a student are usually unqiue to that student, realizing that each students learns in his or her own way. I believe that there is power in repetition for young students just learning new skills. For both younger and older students, lessons needs to be engaging and interesting in order to keep the learning moving toward skill mastery. My lessons are tailored to meet each student's needs or the needs of a small group of learners from elementary through high school.
