About David
I am a quantitative research analyst, and I have been working on education research since graduating from college in 2016. I have a MA degree from the University of Chicago and a BA from UW-Madison.
I have been helping students with R and statistics for the past 2 years.

I prioritize having a good understanding of the reasoning and basic concepts behind the tests. I am comfortable with anything from basic statistics up to causal inference.
When teaching R, I emphasize good coding practices, and I prefer tidyverse functions over base R.
I also provide project-specific advice, and, in those cases, I prefer to first focus on the project as a whole and then work on specific questions.
