About William
I have 3+ years experience privately tutoring Physics and Maths for Nat 5, Highers, and Advanced Highers, working through tutoring agencies and via private referrals. The overwhelming majority of my students have achieved As and Bs in line with their ability and ambition. I have a rigorous academic background; I studied Physics and Maths to masters-level in St Andrews and achieved straight A*s and As in A-Levels and GCSEs.

I enjoy helping students to achieve their potential, regardless of their background or supposed ability. After a brief outline of the theoretical aspects of each topic, I explore related questions and problems in greater depth, with an emphasis on solving questions from question banks and past exam papers. I focus on examination and assessment throughout teaching with an "eye on the prize", and continually assess each tutee's strength and weaknesses so I can focus on the appropriate areas. Communication is key and I make sure to keep parents updated on progress with regular reports and conversations.
