About Beatrice
Hi! My name is Beatrice and I am originally from Italy. I have lived in the USA for the past 6 years, where I attended college. I have a cat, Hermione, who might pop in during some of our lessons! I hold a bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Math from Iowa State University (Go Cyclones!) and a master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. I have worked with top economists that are trailblazers in their field (JA List, C. Camerer). I specialize in Early Childhood Education research and Experimental and Behavioral Economics. With me, you will learn from the best!

Hi and thank you for considering me! My main goal is to help you enjoy (or at least tolerate) Economics by the end of our time together! I'm friendly and approachable, and I care deeply about the success of every single one of my students. Everybody is unique and I pride myself in basing my classes on your learning method. Don't know what it is? We will figure it out together! YOU are in charge of your lessons, and I will be your guide to successfully understanding the material. I'm a strong supporter of learning by doing, blending theory and examples until you're confident with the material. I will make sure that you deeply understand the concepts, not memorize them! We will start by talking about your needs and your learning method, then I'll build a lesson plan which you will review to make sure I cover everything you need me to. We will begin each class with a "Q&A" where you can ask questions about previous topics and/or tell me about any new challenge you'd like my help with. Then, we will go right in and spend each session starting with an example that will lead to the theoretical framework; finally, we will do some practice exercises. My classes are for everybody struggling with Economics, from the beginner to the more advanced student.
