About Franny
My name is Franny, and I am an undergraduate student at University College London studying Economics. I am very patient, dedicated and deeply enthusiastic about helping others understand the area they find difficult in. I want to help students become confident in the area they find difficult, and explore the enjoyment part of each subject. For my education, I have completed my A-levels in 2023 at Clifton College, gaining A* and As in Maths, Further Maths, Economics, Chinese, and EPQ. Additionally, I have gained 10 A* at GCSE including Maths, Further Maths, Economics, History. I lived in the UK for the past 10 years, and I am fluent in both English and Chinese.

For tutoring experience, I have been volunteering in Clifton College for a year with tutoring/mentoring kids from year 5 to year 8 with Maths, and many Maths challenge questions. Moreover, I have been working through GCSE Maths questions at Maths clinic, by breaking down the questions step by step, and working through each step with students. I have been tutoring A-level Maths, Economics and GCSE Maths for a year already. For the teaching approach, in order to deliver an engaging lesson, pre-planning each lesson is very important to me. As a student myself, I understand the struggle when it comes to revision, and practice questions. I will assist students with becoming more confident through understanding the key part of the questions, practice topic questions, and past paper exam questions. To make an enjoyable and engaging lesson, lessons will be structured differently depending on the age of the student. The ideal length for each lesson will be 1 hour. Homework will be set after each lesson in order to help them with continuous learning.
