About Sofia
I am currently an economics student at UCL having just completed my A levels with an A* in both maths and further maths at the Latymer School. Having just been through this period of exam stress, I know how difficult exam season can be and how helpful it is to regularly have time allocated to study and revise crucial topics. Furthermore, I completely understand the anxiety just before exams and so am always happy to try and book in extra sessions or give emergency last minute advice to ease any nerves. For the past two years I have mostly focused my attention in tutoring younger secondary school children the basics in maths which has been loads of fun especially as they begin taking on the basics of algebra, trigonometry and statistics which would be fundamental for the rest of their maths journey.

Throughout my time as an A level student studying maths and further maths, I always found that having a solid understanding of the subject in combination with extensive past practice of past paper questions was always the best way to not only ensure the best results but also have confidence and stay calm during the stressful exam periods. In addition to that, my belief has always been that presentation and organisation in maths is crucial and so presenting and tackling questions in a calm and methodical way is always at the forefront of my teaching. This means that my sessions would mainly entail a mixture of thoroughly going through the content and doing lots and lots of questions in a methodical way.
