About Alex
The study of mathematics is problem solving and the task of the math teacher is to teach the art of problem solving. I will therefore be a facilitator in the task of solving problems, leading the student to think, reason, relate, try to understand the process and to solve it.

Mathematical modeling, the art of expressing problematic situations in our environment through mathematical language. The goal of modeling is to solve problems using a mathematical model. Either way, solving a problem, usually once quantified, requires detailed mathematical formulation. From this perspective, a set of mathematical symbols and relations which seek to translate, in one way or another, a phenomenon in question or a real situation problem, is called a "mathematical model".
