About Owen
I am an 18 year old student that has accepted an offer from the University of Warwick to study Economics in September 2020. Although I am new to online tuition, I have been giving lessons to students at my previous school for the past two years during Sixth Form, and have thoroughly enjoyed the rewarding process that tuition is.
I have excelled academically at my school, with nine Level 9's, an A* and a Level 7 at GCSE, along with a prediction of 42 IB points, with a 7 in Higher Level Mathematics. This prediction exceeded the entry requirements for all UK universities for Economics, and I received offers from all five of my choices (Leeds, Nottingham, Bath, UCL and Warwick). Given the well-renowned intensity of the IB Higher Level Maths syllabus, my grade of a Level 7, and my GCSE grade of a Level 9, I have proven to be an extremely capable mathematician.
I decided to tutor as a result of the worrying times we find ourselves in. If in year 10, I was starved of three months of Maths lessons, there is no doubt in my mind that I would have required some help, and above all would have been extremely concerned about the upcoming GCSE exams. If anyone finds themselves in this position, I hope that I am able to help.

I am offering tuition of GCSE Maths from any students taking the exams in the coming years, and I am also offering A-Level Mathematics tuition (AND IB Standard Maths tuition).
I believe the key to success in Mathematics is a good work ethic, channelled into purposeful practice, and so I will be using a mixture of theoretical teaching, coupled mainly with high-intensity practice questions that can be worked through individually or together.
