About Jocelyn
I've always been fascinated by the way people make decisions and how those choices ripple out to affect the world. I try to bring that curiosity to every lesson, breaking down complex topics into real-world examples and making them relatable and understandable. My teaching style is interactive and engaging. I believe in creating a classroom environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their thoughts, and diving deeper into the material. I encourage a lot of discussion because I think hearing different perspectives is one of the best ways to truly understand economics. Outside of the classroom, I stay connected to current events and trends in the economy so I can bring fresh, real-time examples into my lessons. My ultimate goal is to help students see how economics shapes the world—and how they can use that knowledge to make better decisions, both personally and professionally.

Economics is all around us—it’s how we make decisions, how businesses operate, and how countries grow. My goal is to help students understand the core principles of economics and show them how these ideas influence everything, from the prices at the store to global economic policies.
I focus on explaining the big ideas—like supply and demand, market equilibrium, and the role of government—through real-world examples. Whether we’re discussing inflation, unemployment, or how markets adjust to changes, I always tie it back to how these concepts shape our daily lives. By the end of the course, students will not only understand economic theory but also how it plays out in the world around them, from the global economy to their personal financial decisions.
I keep lessons interactive and engaging, using case studies, discussions, and even debates to bring economic concepts to life. I encourage students to think critically about economic issues and make connections between the theory they’re learning and what they see happening in the world today.
Economics is about more than numbers—it’s about making informed choices. I help students build a toolkit of economic thinking that they can use to evaluate situations, whether they’re analyzing market trends or understanding how policies affect society.
