About Lydia
My interest in economics grew from observing the complex forces that shape industries, nations, and individual lives. This curiosity led me to earn a Master’s Degree in Economics, with a focus on market dynamics and financial structures. Over eleven years of teaching, I have helped students develop a strong foundation in economic reasoning, empowering them to view the world through a more informed and analytical perspective. I am deeply committed to creating an environment where students feel encouraged to express their ideas and interpretations. Economics can be abstract if taught in isolation, so I emphasize real-world application and practical relevance in every lesson. I adapt my teaching style to ensure that each student fully grasps both theory and application. Beyond education, I continue to analyze current economic trends, policies, and global developments. I stay engaged with academic literature and real-world case studies to ensure my lessons remain dynamic and relevant. Economics is the study of choices, resources, and the systems that shape societies, and my lessons are designed to help students understand how the world truly functions beneath the surface. I guide students through economic thinking by connecting theoretical principles to real-life scenarios such as consumer behavior, business decisions, government policies, and global trade. My approach emphasizes critical analysis, logical interpretation, and the ability to view current events through an economic lens. Students are encouraged to ask thoughtful questions, explore multiple perspectives, and develop a clear understanding of how individual and collective decisions influence economic outcomes.
At the introductory level, we explore fundamental concepts such as supply and demand, scarcity, opportunity cost, and market equilibrium. Moving forward, students learn about elasticity, production costs, macroeconomic indicators, inflation, unemployment, and fiscal and monetary policies. Advanced discussions include international trade, economic growth models, development economics, and financial institutions. Lessons are supported by case studies, data analysis, graphical interpretation, and structured discussions. I also support learners with essays, reports, exams, and research-based projects.
Economics strengthens strategic thinking, awareness, and analytical reasoning. I aim to develop students who are capable of evaluating information critically and making informed decisions. My lessons go beyond textbooks, helping students understand their role and impact within larger economic systems and global interactions.
