About Leni
With more than 12 years of experience, I am an experienced Flute instructor teaching School students, College students, and working professionals. I believe flute learning should be enjoyable, practical, and well-structured.
My tutoring style is student-focused. I guide students through breath control, finger technique, tone development, scales, rhythm practice, and musical interpretation. Lessons are flexible and adapted to suit individual learning speeds.
I value clear communication and regular practice. I explain lessons step by step and encourage students to ask questions. Accountability is ensured through practice schedules and progress tracking. Integrity is central to my teaching philosophy.
In addition to flute lessons, I also teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm training, and performance skills. I support students in preparing for exams and recitals.
My unique skill is creating customised lesson plans for beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students. I aim to make flute learning effective and enjoyable.

My flute teaching methodology is built on Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, providing a fully personalised and inspiring learning experience. I begin by understanding each student’s skill level, musical goals, and learning style.
Communication is central—I teach techniques such as posture, breath control, finger coordination, articulation, phrasing, and sight-reading in a structured, clear, and approachable way. Students are encouraged to ask questions, give feedback, and actively participate in shaping their learning experience, which builds confidence and motivation.
Creativity is a key element of my approach. I guide students to explore different musical genres, experiment with improvisation, and develop personal interpretations of pieces. I also include exercises in composition and musical expression to foster originality and artistic growth. Flexibility ensures lessons are tailored to the student’s pace, strengths, and areas of challenge, making learning productive, enjoyable, and inspiring.
Alongside flute instruction, I teach music theory, rhythm exercises, sight-reading, and ear training to develop well-rounded musicianship. My methodology ensures students develop technical skill, expressive ability, and performance confidence, while cultivating a lifelong love for music and a meaningful connection to their instrument.
