About Laurel
I am an experienced Piano tutor with over 14 years of tutoring experience. I teach Piano to school students, college students, and working professionals who want to learn music for education, creativity, or relaxation. My teaching philosophy is student-centered and encouraging. I believe learning piano should bring joy and confidence. I focus on understanding, regular practice, and positive feedback.
My lessons include hand coordination, finger exercises, rhythm practice, sight reading, and music theory basics. I also help students develop musical expression and confidence. Lessons are paced according to the student’s comfort level.
My notable achievements include mentoring students for school and college exams, recitals, and cultural programs. Many students have improved their skills and gained confidence. I also enjoy helping adult beginners overcome hesitation and enjoy piano playing. My goal is to help students develop a lifelong love for piano and music.

Lessons are planned step by step, allowing students to learn comfortably at their own pace. I also guide students on how to practice effectively at home, helping them use their practice time wisely.
Communication is simple, patient, and encouraging. I explain concepts clearly and demonstrate techniques live on the piano. Students are free to ask questions and share learning goals. Integrity plays a strong role in my teaching. I maintain honesty, professionalism, and respect in every class. Apart from piano, I also teach music theory, tempo control, ear training, and basic performance skills to support overall musical development.
