I have been teaching since 2004, both privately and for local studios, offering all styles. I start beginners holding the stick and positioning the hand for proper balance (depending on the stick's weight). Next, we go over rudiments, as they relate to Snare and Drum Set. Depending on the student, I'll suggest certain method books and in some lessons, or listen to music the student has selected to go over.
