About John
I am a writer, director, teacher and LAMDA Examiner based in Worcestershire. I have a PGCE in teaching Drama and have been teaching LAMDA for over 8 years now. I have taught over 60 individual students and have a 100% success rate with 95% of students achieving a Merit/Distinction grade. I have also taught at a range of Primary and Secondary schools in Worcestershire and Birmingham.

I believe in making learning as fun as possible for students. I have been praised for my ability to form relationships with students and finding ways to teach to engage all students. I specialise in audition and exam prep and writing help. Also, being a director allows me to understand the industry and how actors need to fit into it.

I have known John for many years and he is very hardworking and committed to his students. He always went the extra mile with our studies and if he doesn't have the answer, he has it by your next session.
John tutored my daughter in preparation for her auditions to drama and dance school. He was very helpful and worked with her for about 2 months, helping her pick a suitable monologue and talking her through the process of auditions. She was very anxious about the process and John noticeably helped keep her calm.
John has worked with my primary school class (year 4), helping them with some kid friendly Shakespeare plays, and they had a blast. We managed to do some acting, reading and even a little writing.
