About Nancy
I am a friendly and engaging tutor, having recently graduated from King's College Cambridge where I read Human, Social and Political Sciences. I am incredibly passionate about teaching, and especially enjoy working with students to share my love for English.
Having had tutoring myself, I know how vital these lessons can be for your confidence and studies, which is why I dedicate myself so entirely to tackling each student's specific needs. Alongside tutoring, I also enjoy music, anthropology, and going to the theatre (very excited to see plays as set texts!).
I graduated Cambridge with a double first class specialising in anthropology. I did Politics (A) English literature (A*) and History (A) at A Level, and achieved 10 A*s and an A at GCSE.

My lessons are designed with the specific needs of each student in mind. I have extensive experience working with children and young adults, and so I know the importance of establishing a safe and welcoming learning environment to enable students to reach their potential. I work collaboratively in my lessons, taking inspiration from the supervision style teaching I received at Cambridge. This enables me to develop a good understanding of how each student thinks, and can help me tailor my teaching to unlock their full academic potential.
Alongside English tutoring, I also offer Oxbridge mock interviews and other application preparation support. Having gone through the process myself, I know how nerve-racking it can be. I seek to offer a helping hand and astute advice to potential applicants, and lots of words of encouragement!
