Students are viewed as "empty vessels" whose primary role is to passively receive information (via lectures and direct instruction) with an end goal of testing and assessment.
It is my primary role as a teacher to pass this knowledge and information onto my students through appropriate coaching which in turn facilitate student learning and overall comprehension of material.
Student learning is then measured through both formal and informal forms of assessment. Student learning is continuously measured with teaching and assessment connected.
