About Changavy
Hi! I’m glad you’re reading this. Teaching is a real passion of mine because I love the sciences and enjoy making difficult topics feel clear and manageable. Watching a student grow in confidence and have that “it finally makes sense” moment is incredibly rewarding.
I’m a doctor with an MBBS and BSc from Imperial College London. I have nearly 10 years of tutoring experience and have also taught medical students. I aim to make every lesson friendly, encouraging and tailored to the individual student.

My lessons are 60 minutes long and are friendly, interactive and shaped around what you need most. I like to use a question-led approach, with lots of active recall, so you are involved throughout rather than simply listening.
We will use exam-style questions from the start, helping you build your understanding of the content while improving your exam technique at the same time. We will go through answers together, work out where any gaps are and practise how to explain your thinking clearly and confidently.
I teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths Years 7–9, GCSE and A-level, as well as help students prep for the 11+. I can also help with personal statements and interview questions. Most importantly, I want lessons to feel supportive and encouraging, so you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and growing in confidence.
