About Amna
Hi, I'm Amna! I have always loved learning and find a thrill in unlocking complex concepts for myself and for others. I graduated with a Distinction in Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, specializing in Bioprocessing at the University of Cape Town in 2021. In my Masters I developed time series forecasting models to diversify the sugar value chain in South Africa so I understand how to translate textbook level chemistry and math concepts into real world applications. I've worked previously as a Data Analyst and a Product Manager and now work as a Senior Growth Specialist at Google.

I tutor Chemistry, Maths & Physics with a practical, results-focused approach.
Lessons are 1.5 hours, up to 3 times a week, with practice questions after each.
We start with a 45-min consult to understand challenges as well as what learning techniques suit the student.
I simplify complex ideas using real-world context to build a deep understanding that will extend far beyond just passing tests and exams.
I have tutored chemistry and maths at university level in afternoon classes, and have privately tutored students to improve their grades in Chemistry from Ds to As within 8 weeks maximum
