About Shay
I currently have a Psychology MSc distinction and I am a health informatics PhD student at UCL. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Social Science.
Through my studies, I have developed strong skills in academic writing, research methods, and data analysis, particularly in supporting high-quality assignments and dissertations.
I understand how challenging and overwhelming university work can feel, especially when you are unsure how to improve your grades. I enjoy helping students build confidence in their work and understand exactly what is needed to succeed.

My lessons are focused on helping you improve your assignments, essays and dissertations in a clear and structured way. Rather than just going through theory, I work directly with your work to identify what needs to improve and how to fix it.
Before each session, I review your document, feedback and marking criteria so we can focus on exactly what will help you achieve a higher grade. During our session, I guide you through key improvements, explain where you are losing marks, and give you a clear plan to follow.
This approach is ideal if you feel stuck, unsure how to improve, or want to move your work into a higher grade band.

Perfect! An Exceptional Tutor – Highly Recommended!
I am extremely happy with the support and guidance I received from tutor Shay throughout my MSc dissertation. She took the time to thoroughly understand my assignment, the marking criteria, and the academic requirements, ensuring that her guidance was always relevant and tailored to my needs.
What impressed me most was She was always quick to respond to my questions, provided detailed explanations, and genuinely invested her time in helping me improve my work. Her attention to detail and thorough understanding of academic expectations made the whole process much easier and gave me greater confidence in my dissertation.
My only regret is that I wish I had found her at the very beginning of my MSc course, as I would have loved to have benefited from her guidance throughout my entire academic journey.
I cannot thank her enough for her time, effort, and continuous support. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, dedicated, and supportive tutor. She truly goes above and beyond for her students!- Humera was absolutely lovely to work with. She was professional, patient and very supportive throughout the lesson. I really enjoyed our session and felt comfortable asking questions. I would definitely recommend her and would be very happy to book another lesson with her.Shay's response :

Details
My hourly rate covers structured support sessions where we go through your work in detail and focus on improving your grade. I also offer more in-depth review support where I provide written feedback on your assignment or dissertation before our session, so you have clear guidance on what to improve. For best results, I recommend sending your document, feedback and marking criteria in advance so I can tailor the session to your needs.
