About Ali
Preparing for the Digital SAT Math section and finding the timing, Desmos calculator, or harder Module 2 questions difficult?
I’m Ali, a US PhD in Electrical Engineering and former university professor with 17+ years of teaching experience. Unlike general maths tuition, my lessons are built around the specific format of the Digital SAT Math section: Desmos, timing, adaptive Module 2 strategy, and recurring question types.
Many strong A-Level and IB students lose marks on the SAT not because the maths is impossible, but because they solve questions too slowly or miss the patterns behind the test.
My lessons focus on:
- Desmos shortcuts for algebra, systems, graphs, quadratics, inequalities, and functions
- Module 2 strategy for harder adaptive questions
- Timing and pacing, especially finishing Module 1 efficiently
- Error analysis, so we identify exactly why marks are being lost
- Targeted practice, using official Bluebook-style questions and hard-question drills
I have helped students make significant improvements in SAT Math, including students improving from around 500 to 660, and others strengthening their higher-score performance through Desmos and Module 2 tactics.
This is ideal for students applying to US universities who want a focused, maths-only SAT tutor rather than a general test-prep approach.

My Digital SAT Math lessons are structured, practical, and score-focused.
We do not waste time going through topics you already know. Instead, we diagnose your weak points and build a clear strategy for improving your score.
A typical lesson includes:
1. Error review
We analyse recent mistakes to find patterns: algebra errors, slow methods, Desmos misuse, timing issues, or misunderstanding the question type.
2. Desmos and method training
I show you when to use Desmos, when not to, and how to solve certain SAT questions much faster than with traditional manual algebra.
3. Hard-question practice
We work through realistic Digital SAT Math questions, especially the types that appear in the second module.
4. Timing strategy
You learn how to protect easy marks, move efficiently through Module 1, and save energy for the most valuable questions.
5. Weekly action plan
Each lesson ends with specific practice targets for the next week.
Materials include official Bluebook practice tests, College Board-style questions, and my own hard-question bank focused on Digital SAT Math patterns.
My goal is simple: help you become faster, more accurate, and more strategic on the SAT Math section.

Perfect! Ali has been a fantastic tutor for my daughter. In a very short timeframe he helped her significantly improve her Maths Digital SAT score by quickly identifying and working through her weak areas, teaching her how to use Desmos effectively and helping her maximise her time in the test. I would highly recommend him.
- Thank you so much, Kate! It has been a pleasure working with Charlotte. She is incredibly bright and hardworking, and seeing her confidence grow with the new strategies has been fantastic. I'm rooting for her on test day!Ali's response :
