Since being with us at Nightingale, Leonie has helped many pupils in my class progress in their reading comprehension and general writing. She has a great relationship with the pupils, they love going out to work with her and always come back disappointed that it is finished. Leonie is really receptive and flexible with changes within our school and has become a very value asset to our school as a teacher and a colleague.

Leonie has been a wonderful addition to the Nightingale school staff, promoting a love and passion for reading and writing that has had a positive impact on some reluctant readers. Leonie has been reading and writing with a small group from Year 3 each day, which has focused on small learning targets set by the class teacher, which has been designed to promote engagement and support with gaps in their learning due to a variety of reasons. The groups have been well organised, consistent and engaging, which has created a really positive attitude for the students in Year 3, and they are always excited to be reading and writing with Leonie.

Leonie has been working at Nightingale offering 1:1 and small group tuition for children across KS1 & KS2. She has built positive relationships with the children and is able to enthuse and engage them. She models the learning clearly and is able to address misconceptions so that children are successful in their learning. Leonie has been able to follow the plans of the school and has planned high quality learning tailored to the children's needs. She has excelled at supporting children with SEND and has showed patience and commitment to ensuring they have the best possible outcomes.

Leonie is great at what she does, she is a very caring and genuine individual. Would highly recommend her to work with anyone.

Leonie helped me prepare myself for my exams (GCSE mocks) by running me through the different structures for writing analytical and descriptive essays. She helped me pick up ways to emphasise and zoom in to useful quotes and pieces of language, whilst also watching my punctuation and spelling to bump up my grade. Very encouraging and patient.

Shes an amazing tutor! My younger siblings were able to achieve a grade 8 in English GCSE. Shes very passionate and this reflects in her teaching!
