About Ema
I'm a Dental Student, and not that long ago I was in the exact same position as my students, juggling GCSEs and trying to find a way to actually remember everything, not just cram it before exams. I've always loved Maths and Science, and somewhere along the way I realised I really enjoy teaching them too. I tutor because I want to give that same support that helped me get through my own exams: patient, practical, and focused on real understanding rather than rote learning.

Hi! I am a Dental Student offering GCSE Maths, Biology and Chemistry tuition for students, whether you're aiming to boost a borderline grade, need help building a stronger foundation, or want extra confidence heading into exams.
My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, focusing on building confidence, strengthening understanding and improving exam technique through worked examples, practice questions and active recall methods. I put a strong emphasis on exam technique, how to interpret command words, structure answers, and pick up method marks even when the final answer isn't quite right, since this is often where students lose easy points.
Sessions typically run for 1 hour, which gives enough time to recap previous learning, work through new content, and finish with practice questions, though this can be adjusted depending on the student's needs.
