About Gillian
I have written advertising, poetry, short stories and essays available for review in la-riposte.co.nz. It is not necessary for students to read my work unless I know it can highlight something I see in their writing which could be better. I realised early on there was one rule in writing: What do you want to say? I have also been as assistant editor to a published author in non-fiction and worked for a publisher in London, so I know how to publish a book either for a purely spontaneous thinker or a methodical one.

I would analyse goal, achievement, skill, faults, genre, method, and work ethic. I would then advise them and tutor the student according to what their goal was. I might advise them to study a particular writer or encourage them to complete exercises. Gain confidence.
