About Iris
I am a piano tutor with 4 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition with a Piano Emphasis. I also work as a composer and performer, which allows me to share real-world insights with my students. I view music as a lifelong journey, with room for creativity and personal expression.
My teaching emphasizes improvisation and spontaneous composition. Students learn to create original pieces, experiment with harmonies, and develop a confident musical voice. I work with beginners building technique and understanding, as well as advanced musicians refining expressive and creative skills.
Lessons combine theory, technique, and composition, encouraging students to explore music independently. I provide structured guidance while fostering imagination and experimentation. Each session builds confidence, skill, and a sense of musical ownership.

I teach piano with a focus on practical, modern, and fun techniques. Lessons include pop piano skills, playing by ear, chord voicings for popular songs, and arranging contemporary pieces. Students learn music they enjoy.
