About Asha
My journey with piano began as a child, captivated by its ability to convey emotion through music. Over ten years of teaching and performance internationally, I’ve worked with students of all ages and backgrounds, guiding them to discover their unique musical voice. I teach with patience, clarity, and enthusiasm, balancing disciplined technique with creative exploration. Lessons are tailored to individual goals and learning styles, fostering both technical mastery and expressive confidence. My students leave empowered to interpret music, improvise creatively, and connect emotionally with each piece. Outside of lessons, I perform, compose, and collaborate on musical projects that explore innovation and cultural diversity. Teaching piano is not only a profession—it is a passion that allows me to help students grow artistically, emotionally, and intellectually.

Piano lessons with me are designed to combine technical discipline with emotional expression. From there, we explore phrasing, dynamics, and stylistic interpretation to cultivate a nuanced musical voice. Lessons emphasise both precision and creativity, transforming practice into a personally rewarding experience. Beginners focus on building rhythm, melody recognition, and simple repertoire that instils confidence and musical awareness. Intermediate students refine sight-reading, harmonic understanding, and stylistic versatility across classical, jazz, and contemporary genres. Advanced learners explore complex repertoire, improvisation, and expressive interpretation, preparing for performance and composition. Lessons also integrate ear training, theory, and memorisation techniques to foster holistic musicianship. My approach prioritises musical growth while fostering a sense of joy and self-expression.
