About Zoya

I am a Physics tutor with over 4 years of experience and a BSc in Applied Physics, specialising in plasma physics and fusion energy research. My academic and teaching journey has been shaped by a deep curiosity about how the universe’s most powerful forces can be harnessed for clean and sustainable energy. I’ve spent years exploring plasma states—the fascinating fourth state of matter—and studying how they behave under extreme conditions. My expertise extends to both **magnetic confinement** and **inertial confinement** methods, which lie at the heart of fusion energy development. I enjoy helping students understand how these technologies bring us closer to replicating the energy of the stars here on Earth. Alongside this, I introduce learners to the key principles behind plasma behaviour, particle motion, and the interactions that drive high-energy systems. I’ve worked with students passionate about **energy solutions, space science, and high-energy physics**, guiding them through complex concepts with clarity and enthusiasm. My approach encourages critical thinking, experimentation, and linking theory to global challenges. Together, we dive into the physics shaping our future—from laboratory plasma experiments to next-generation fusion reactors. Understanding the fourth state of matter isn’t just about physics—it’s about unlocking humanity’s clean energy potential. Let’s explore how plasma could one day power our world.

My teaching approach in Physics focuses on nurturing curiosity and building strong conceptual foundations through personalised learning. I create an interactive space where every student feels supported and confident to explore. My lessons blend theory with real-world applications, helping students connect ideas across mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, and modern physics. I also integrate computer modelling, data visualisation, and numerical methods into my sessions to strengthen analytical thinking. Students learn how computational tools can simplify complex problems and bring abstract physics concepts to life. Through hands-on simulations and guided problem-solving, they gain practical experience in scientific programming and computational physics. I encourage students to think creatively, test hypotheses, and celebrate their discoveries through visualisation and simulation. Whether you’re a Research Assistant, a Nuclear Buff, or an aspiring scientist, I help you apply physics in meaningful and innovative ways. Together, we’ll sharpen your computational skills, strengthen your understanding, and move with confidence towards academic excellence.
