About Tanuri
Hi! I’m Tanuri. I specialize in guiding high school and senior students through the intricacies of ATAR Chemistry and general sciences.
My academic background gives my students a distinct competitive edge:
ATAR Success: I completed Year 12 with an elite 96.6 ATAR, mastering the exact exam strategies, time-management skills, and study habits required to score at the absolute top.
Undergraduate Foundation: I hold a Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences, which deeply reinforced my university-level understanding of organic chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular interactions.
Clinical Perspective: I am currently pursuing my MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) at the University of Peradeniya. Everyday, I apply chemical concepts to pharmacology and human physiology.

Master ATAR Chemistry via Logic, Not Rote-Learning
Chemistry is often feared because it feels like a mountain of abstract formulas, complex equations, and tricky equilibrium shifts. But to secure a top-tier ATAR score or ace your high school exams, you don't need to blindly memorize formulas—you need to understand the underlying logic of chemical systems.
My lessons move away from frustrating rote-learning. Instead, I use step-by-step algorithmic breakdowns, structural visualization, and real-world biochemical examples to make complex topics like organic chemistry, redox reactions, and chemical equilibrium feel intuitive. We will focus heavily on breaking down past exam papers, decoding complex marking keys, and mastering the exact step-by-step working out that examiners demand to award full marks.
Class Delivery & Flexible Availability
Mode: 100% Online via Zoom/Google Meet, utilizing interactive digital whiteboards to map out chemical structures, balance complex equations, and solve multi-step calculations together in real-time.
Primary Availability: My main, open blocks are on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) across all Australian time zones (AEST and AWST), as my weekdays are heavily committed to hospital rotations and medical lectures.
Weekday Flexibility: Depending on my changing clinical schedule, some weekday slots are also possible. If weekends don't perfectly suit you, please reach out and we can discuss my current weekday openings to find a time that works for both of us!
