About Gabriella
I am a Warwick and Cambridge University graduate with experience in teaching English language and literature at all levels, and beginner and conversational French. I’m a friendly and dedicated South London based tutor available for both at home and online classes. I grew up in Geneva (Switzerland) and did my secondary schooling in French, achieving a bilingual IB. I then went on to obtain a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing at Warwick University, followed by a Masters in Film and Literature at Cambridge University. My strengths lie in instilling a love for the subjects I teach and in helping build confidence. I always strive to provide the support and encouragement you or your child will need to achieve their goals. I understand how much a positive or negative experience with a teacher can really impact your performance in, and enjoyment of, that subject, which is why I value kindness and patience in my teaching. I have also worked in the publishing, film and television industries and as a freelance copywriter, so am also available for proofreading and providing advice on submitting novels to agents. Tutoring Experience My teaching background includes one-to-one tutoring in English language and literature for students between the ages of 3 and 18 and teaching English as a foreign language in a classroom setting for students aged 14 to 16.
