About Flor
I am a biliterate educator who is passionate about helping children grow academically and confidently. As a married, new mom, I deeply understand the importance of patience, nurturing, and creating a supportive environment for young learners. I have always loved working in classrooms and building meaningful connections with students. Growing up, Spanish was my first language, and I remember struggling to learn English and wishing I had someone truly passionate about helping me succeed. That experience fuels my commitment to supporting every child with empathy, encouragement, and high expectations.

Students should take lessons with me because I bring both strong academic preparation and real classroom experience to every session. I hold a bachelor’s degree and have over three years of experience teaching K–8 students in English Language Arts. As a bilingual educator, I’m able to support diverse learners and clearly explain concepts in ways that build confidence and understanding. I specialize in spelling, grammar, reading comprehension, and essay writing, helping students strengthen foundational skills while also developing critical thinking and clear communication. My goal is to create a supportive, engaging environment where students feel encouraged, capable, and proud of their progress.
