About Tessa
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Science and have dedicated nine years to teaching and guiding students through the complexities of chemistry. My passion stems from a deep love for understanding matter at its most fundamental level and sharing that understanding with others in an accessible way. I believe in creating an environment where questions are encouraged and curiosity is nurtured. Many students initially feel overwhelmed by chemistry, so I prioritise clarity, patience, and encouragement in every lesson. I work to replace confusion with understanding and replace anxiety with confidence. Beyond the classroom, I remain committed to continuous scientific learning. Chemistry is presented in my lessons as a fascinating investigation into the invisible processes that shape our physical world. I guide students to recognise that every reaction, every bond, and every element follows logical and predictable principles. Through clear explanations and visual representation, I make complex chemical theories easier to understand and more engaging. Students learn that chemistry is not just a subject, but an essential science that explains life, industry, and the environment. Beginners explore atomic structure, the periodic table, and basic chemical bonding. Intermediate learners move into stoichiometry, thermodynamics, reaction rates, and acid-base chemistry. Advanced students examine organic reactions, electrochemistry, and equilibrium processes. My lessons include visual demonstrations, real-world applications, and problem-based learning that reinforces conceptual understanding. Virtual lab simulations and analytical challenges allow students to witness theoretical ideas in action. At its highest level, chemistry sharpens the student’s ability to think scientifically and responsibly.
