About Shanique
I am a university student majoring in STEM. I have experience with many extracurriculars, such as club volleyball, and volunteering at the Library, as well as a 6 year experience with tutoring. I have achieved distinguished honors and averages in the high 90’s from grade 8 up to grade 12, with a final high school average of 95.5%. I have also been tutoring since grade 8, by mentoring younger grades’ literacy, writing, math and the sciences. For our first lesson, I will analyze why you find the topic challenging, and I will introduce similar types of problems for you to understand the topic in a detailed manner from all angles. Within the lesson, we will approach the challenging topics according to your learning style. We will then reinforce the topics with practice, to ensure that any mistakes you repeat are addressed and resolved to give you a thorough mastery of the topic. To further increase your confidence I will provide you with harder problems as you increase your understanding, while I also monitor what conceptual challenges you face so that you are confident in answering any unexpected further extensions of the problem. As I have found in my experience, catered learning is the best way to achieve marks in the 90’s, and that is what I will support you to achieve. There are many different ways to learn a topic, and I will aim for you to understand the topic in the way that suits you best, using my accumulated experience throughout my academic years. Lessons can focus on a topic, a unit test, or preparation for diplomas with precise and challenging practice!
