About Amber
My name is Amber, and I recently graduated from my Bachelor of Biomedicine at The University of Melbourne, majoring in neuroscience. Teaching has been a passion of mine ever since young. I've always found joy in explaining difficult material in a way that makes it more understandable for others. In my lessons, I aim to break down complex concepts to my students while also building their confidence in applying their knowledge both in exams and real-world settings.

As a tutor, I like creating personalised lessons for each of my students because I believe that every individual learns differently. My teaching methodology usually involves brainstorming mind-maps to help students grasp a bigger picture of each topic, the use of practice questions from past year papers and going through summary notes which I personally prepare for each student. A typical lesson of mine would ideally be 1 hour long to ensure that students have sufficient time to grasp each concept without feeling overwhelmed or tired. As a former IGCSE student, I am incredibly familiar with the IGCSE syllabus content and exam marking style. I also have experience teaching the content as I tutored my peers who struggled with Chemistry. My lessons are tailored for students aged 15-17, and my goal is to increase their understanding of the syllabus content and build their application skills during exams
