About Alexander
After moving a lot within the United States, and by the time I went to college in Canada, I had been a student in 6 different school districts. I was then a student teacher in two different school districts in Quebec for two different years, but then opted out of a Quebecois public teaching certificate to go back home to the US. I went back home with a Secondary Teaching degree, but became an elementary school substitute and special ed assistant for about two years in 2021. My roundabout way of becoming a teacher of some kind, with all this traveling and seeing how many different districts operate has been the most fun experience for when me trying to become a teacher and I am still continuing this journey abroad in Madrid now. I think that getting a TEFL certificate and traveling for both teaching and learning is the next step in my journey to becoming a classroom teacher somewhere in the world. Right now I am actively tutoring adults who are looking for professional conversational skills, elementary school kids who want to learn basic English, and High school kids who are looking to take different levels of the Cambridge exam. I have been studying to be a teacher since 2018, I then transitioned to actually teaching in classrooms in 2021. I have been in schools learning how to teach for about 8 years now and I have been professionally teaching in schools for about 4 school years now. I tutor people of all ages and ranges and am looking to tutor some more :)

I just moved to Madrid in October to teach English at an elementary school and I'm now tutoring my elementary kids, some high school kids, and even some adults after the school day is over. However, I would love to tutor some more - I am currently doing Cambridge test prep with the high schoolers, professional conversational skills with my adults, and reading English comic books and doing homework with some of the elementary school kids that I teach during the school day. I'm open to students of all ages and abilities and can adapt our lessons to any of your needs :)
