About Seán
I am 23 years old and currently doing a master's degree in chemical engineering. I have been very interested in chemistry and math for a long time and they were my favorite subjects when I did the leaving cert. I have previously tutored these subjects with friends and family.
I believe the best way to learn these subjects is to pay attention to the topics the student is weakest at and reinforce understanding and practice. I explain the topic slowly, making sure the student can follow, then challenge the student, increasing the difficulty of the practice as the student improves until the student is fully confident around the topic. I also encourage exam practice using the available previous leaving cert exam papers.

My lessons will help students prepare for the math and chemistry leaving cert exams. I currently have little experience in tutoring as I've only tutored for friends and family. I am very proficient in chemistry and mathematics as I have completed a four-year bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. Mathematics and chemistry were a large focus of this degree and I have great interest in the subjects.
My method of tutoring involves assessing the aspects of the subject that the student is weak in and helping to reinforce the topic through explanations and practice. I believe understanding the topic is vital and practice makes perfect to score high in the leaving cert exams.
The first lesson for each student is free so that my teaching quality can be assessed. I am available for online lessons on evenings of the week and in-person lessons on Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays!
