About Georgette
Currently, I am a second-year undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Sydney, with aspirations to work in the science and health field. I am deeply passionate about teaching, driven by my passion for the subject matter and my desire to support students in their educational journey. With two years of experience in private and company tutoring, I offer tutoring for junior science and mathematics (Years 7–10) and senior science subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Science Extension, and Advanced Mathematics. Lessons are typically an hour per subject, but durations can be adjusted to suit individual needs.
Each lesson is customised to the student’s level and learning style, whether conducted online or in person. My approach emphasises active student engagement, encouraging them to ask questions, solve problems, and participate actively in the learning process. Concepts will be thoroughly explained during the lesson and reinforced with questions that apply the content taught.
I provide consistent feedback to students and remain open to feedback myself, adapting lessons to meet the changing needs of the student. Lessons will be evaluated continuously to ensure they align with the student’s progress and goals. While I am always available to assist, my teaching approach fosters independence, allowing for the students to confidently answer questions themselves outside the lesson time.
